Thom J. Ertl Designs is modern folk art
that takes the fork in the road

The artwork I bought is a nice addition to the furniture and accessories I’ve been collecting over the years. It’s a nice blend of modern and vintage. It always gets the most attention of any of the art that I own. Mom loves it!

We absolutely love the holiday ornaments we bought at the pop-up event we attended. We made cookies today and my daughter decorated one in honor of her ornament. And I had to have an ornament, too! Obviously we like them a lot, so thanks!

These cards are stunning! Thom is an extremely talented artist whose work shows imaginative color, beauty and detail! These are not to be missed! I’m secretly keeping a few for myself because I can’t part with them!

Before COVID struck Thom and I collaborated on an art show that was displayed in our restaurant, Zaffiro's Pizza, here in Milwaukee. It was FANTASTIC! There was nothing but good comments. People were truly amazed by the intricacy and the tongue-in-cheek reference to the world in such original art. And the lines and textures really add such a rich element to everything.  The approach to having art out in the public eye—with art at galleries, business establishments and at public art events—is such an important way to show support to small businesses, and Zaffiro's is looking forward to any future exhibits of Thom J. Ertl Designs with open arms!

The artwork of Thom J. Ertl Designs reminds me of being a kid while still being an adult. I really like the whimsy and nostalgia associated with it. It’s a nice blend of modern and vintage and gets the most attention of any of the art I own. It’s art with a story behind it and that’s a definite plus for me.

This Magic 8-Ball is great! I received it as a gift and it’s so beautiful! There’s tons of different shapes of beads all fitting into a blue color palette. It adds a splash of color and texture to any of the places I've had it. And as much as it looks so cool, it's an actual working Magic 8-Ball—how fun is that? It's such a great addition to my décor. Thom is very talented and I would highly recommend his work!

I received a flower Thommie Square as a wedding gift. Its intricacy is amazing, and the antique beads incorporated into the design really add a truly stunning addition to my wall. I love how unique and nostalgic this is all at the same time. The flower details remind me of my great grandmother and how much she taught me about art, and the beautiful flowers and plants she had throughout the home. A couple months after getting the first one, my husband and I went to an art event and had the chance to purchase another Thommie Square! I love supporting local artists in Milwaukee and Thom is one of the greats!

I am beyond thrilled to have three original Thommie Squares in and around my collection of art. It's amazing how my guests are drawn to them. First off, they are uber original and whimsical, yet so deep...you can't but get drawn into them. I see something new, different and unique when I look at them—rather like the artist himself. I was most flattered when in conversation, I shared a few of my passions—collectibles if you will—and lo and behold, Thom pulled it altogether in a MASTERPIECE. I believe one's home should reflect the person who lives there, and I think it's a kick knowing the artist. It's like having a piece of them with you always.
